Kill: Makkal Hanaya (Capsule)
Pop goes the Makkal. That's one way to get rid of a shoulder injury.
I am incredibly proud of this though: Kill: Bruggmire (Scimitar)
I sat off field until the FC told tackle to warp to him, and I was the first to respond. I managed to burn 100k to Bruggmire while making the correct spiral shape, I warp disrupted them and called in fleet comms that I'd done, I continued to spiral until I was in warp scram range and applied that as well. I think spent two minutes swirling around him firing my (useless) guns while various other peoples fired on me. I broadcasted for repair when needed.
It's not that I got on a killmail or that I tackled him, it's that I did everything correctly.
Every i dotted, every t crossed.
Though I've been in a number of fights since I joined RDC and I've been on a (small) number of killmails, but I'd never done it right. Tonight I did.
I want to share this with someone, but I have no idea whom. The Chūjō is busy. Morwen is having serious personal problems. Steffanie wouldn't understand. Ayallah would tell me about the dozens of times she's easily done the same thing. Silas would...
Silas is being Silas right now. She wants something and she wants me to provide it even though I lack the means, ability, or (honestly) inclination to do so. I'd swear she were setting me up for failure, but her reaction to my first 'I can't do this' implies otherwise. The epic tale of how I tackled a Scimitar would likely not amuse her.
Still, I feel good about it, and that's probably more than the drug cocktail they pumped into my clone while I immediately reshipped at work.
Speaking of drugs, Kor gifted me with and interesting bottle of alcohol (can't read the label) and a troupe of male and female exotic dancers. I think he's teasing me but it seems to be good-natured.
Okay, the Gentility is docked at Jita and I need to get some cranial upgrades.

Congratulations Makkal! You are the proud new owner of a torn
rotator cuff!
Yes, I started surfing again and tried my luck with some
fifteen foot waves. Not only did I wipe out several times, I’ve managed to partially
tear a tendon in my right shoulder. Of course, after I did that, I popped some
extra strength pain killers, hauled some material, hung out with friends, and
then went on a patrol.
Only after I climbed out of the pod 14 hours later and tried
to wash my hair did I realize I was seriously hurt.
The nurse at HQ gave me a painkiller and anti-inflammatory
and told me to not use my shoulder much. After it heals, they want me to do
some physical therapy designed to help
strengthen the area.
I told the guy that I thought the problem was that Ishukone
brand arms are heavier than what my original body was used to, but he assured
me it was because I’d caused ‘acute trauma’
to the area.
Not that I’d expect an Ishukone citizen raised in an
Ishukone station educated in an Ishukone medical school and working for IRED to
think the arms might be at fault.

Oh.
Oh.
Oh!
Silas has been hinting at something big with the Equilibrium guy. And she said people would take notice. That it would make her will/philosophy/whatever manifest.
And I will weep.
I think I've figured it out.
How best to verify?
? I suppose the easiest thing to do is to ask.?
But she could lie. But I could be wrong and she'll think I'm an idiot.
Only one way to find out...

As a rock
on the seashore I standeth firm,
and the dashing of the waves disturbeth me
not.
I raise my head like a tower on a hill,
and the arrows of fortune drop
at my feet.
In the instant of danger,
the courage of my heart here,
and scorn
to fly.

Surfing! Surfing! Surfing!
Surfing~
My entire body aches from just an hour or so of paddling and riding at Anslo's, and the waves were only about four foot. My shoulder muscles especially; I forgot that I got podded 5 days ago and this body's muscle conditioning doesn't handle my arms properly.
I think Ishukone's materials might be a touch heavier? I didn't have this problem before I switched.
Scherezad mentioned a beach where the waves are 30 foot. That's more than I managed even when I was competing and got surf time in daily, but, oh, I want to do it. I WANT IT SO BAD.
Need to start training again. But no time. :(
I'll see what I can squeeze in.

I fell asleep in the pod.
The technician screamed when I jerked awake. After unhooking
me from the capsule, they had attempted to rouse me for about an hour: shook
me, injected stimulants, sent electrical bursts through my brain to reset it.
They thought I wet-graved.
? Maybe they were right. ?
I was the ship, but when I tried to pull out my mind went
somewhere. I don't know where but it was familiar. Like a dream you've had dozens of times but only
faintly remember in the morning.
We've been here before.
We've walked these stones. We've heard this music. We've
seen the masks the dancers wear. We've drawn the curtains back and peered at
their faces.
We know how this ends.
? But I can't remember any of it now. I wonder why I woke
up. ?
